Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for secondary infertility due to severe Endometriosis 

Patient in her early 40s had been struggling to conceive naturally. The clinical diagnosis was severe Endometriosis and adhesion. Due to the location of the issue, surgery was not an option. 

Patient often experienced severe period pain, passing large blood clots, poor quality of sleep and weak digestion. Acupuncture, acupressure and Chinese herbal medicine were offered to the patient which over time eliminated her signs and symptoms. Patient conceived naturally after two years.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for Tachycardia and Muscle twitching

Patient was admitted to A&E for fast heart rate, palpitation, twitching eyes and involuntary muscle movement in the body. 

After one session of acupuncture and one week of Chinese herbal medicine use, patient felt a marked improvement on twitching eyes. Muscle movement stopped and was able to sleep well. 

Lifestyle and dietary advice was also given to maintain treatment effect.

Keen long distance runner presented with chronic Achilles pain. He pulled his Achilles when he was still a child and has had issue with it since. There is considerable discomfort during running. It feels tight first thing in the morning and after sitting in a fixed position for too long. Sitting cross legged, climbing stairs can cause pain too. He also experiences sporadic leg cramp in bed.

Pain level improved substantially after three sessions of regular acupuncture. After six sessions of treatments, patient was able to run with no discomfort at all. Mild discomfort still presented when crossing legs. Patient then completed a half Marathon with no issue after three further treatments and no longer experienced any pain in Achilles.

39 years old female patient had been trying to conceive naturally for a year for a second child before seeking help from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Fertility tests revealed low AMH level. Patient was also diagnosed with under-active thyroid. 

After nine month of regular acupuncture and taking herbal medicine to help regulate menstrual cycle and improve ovulation, patient fell pregnant naturally. 

It can take longer for patients to conceive the second child due to increased age, erratic eating pattern, demanding family and working life. Treatments are focused on nourishing the body, improving digestion and quality of sleep, stimulating ovulation and lengthening fertility window.
